Come to the beautiful Highlander Center and participate in this year’s Social Change workshop focused on using Popular Education in your work. This workshop is for popular educators of ALL skill levels, including those who are simply interested in learning more about Popular Education and how it can be used.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to enhance organizing skills, share ideas, and strategize with others from around the country. The workshop will focus on Highlander’s core methodology of popular education and organizing and will include discussions of Highlander’s history and current work.
Come experience a popular education learning community; revel in Highlander’s 186 acres of natural beauty in the Great Smokey Mountains; and access Highlander’s Resource Center, with its extensive collection of books, articles, and videos about current and historical social justice movements.
The cost for the workshop is $350, which includes room and board. Limited scholarships are available for people with limited means who are actively engaged in social change. Childcare is available, as well as simultaneous English and Spanish interpretation.
