Black Immigration NetworkThe 3rd Annual Meeting of the Black Immigration Network was held in Atlanta at the Auburn Research Library in April. Over 125 people attended from over 40 different countries of origin and 20 states. BIN connects African, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Latino, African American and other African descent communities in the United States for a stronger voice for racial justice and immigrant rights.

Highlander helped support the formation of the Black Immigration Network with Elandria Williams serving on the steering committee and the conference planning committee.  Marquez Rhyne and Joseph Tolbert also attended as Highlander staff.  For individual and organizational membership information, resources, or to learn more about BIN go to http://blackimmigration.net/
