The Good Karma Gardening Cirle at Highlander; Fall 2008
The Good Karma Gardening Circle at Highlander; Fall 2008

Please join us at Highlander on Saturday, March 28th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to enjoy the spring weather and the beautiful view of the mountains, and to help prepare our gardens for the summer.

Activities will include: weeding, pruning, planting, clearing plant debris, digging, and mulching. Please bring gloves and gardening tools if you have them.

There will also be good conversation, a delicious lunch, and a tour of Highlander’s apple orchard.

Donations of low-maintenance native plants would also be appreciated. Highlander is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, so all contributions are deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

We will have lunch at the Workshop Center with participants in an interpreter training workhop, which is designed to provide interpreters with skills and information to help build cross-cultural alliances and work in social justice settings.

Please feel free to come any time on the 28th, for a short or long period! It would help, though, if you could let us know if and when you might be coming.

If you will be joining us for lunch, please be sure to RSVP so we know how many people to expect. For more information, or to RSVP, contact Charlie Biggs at charlie@highlandercenter.org or 865-933-3443 x242, or Rosalind Hackett at rhackett@utk.edu or 865-588-1562.
